
An aesthetically appealing futuristic appearance and an improved PHEV option are part of the Mitsubishi Outlander lineup for 2023. The compact, three-row, seven-passenger vehicles are designed to provide all passengers with a comfortable, convenient ride, whether running around town or embarking on an extensive road trip. Route 17 Mitsubishi has the latest Outlander inventory, which includes five trim levels.
Outlander Basics
Ramsey, NJ consumers can buy an Outlander equipped with a 2.5-liter gas-powered engine that delivers 181 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque. The powertrain includes standard AWD. Our PHEV models have 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines and an electric motor on each axle. A 20-kWh battery pack powers the motors. By increasing power, the hybrid Outlanders generate 221 horsepower. Mitsubishi's unique AWD technology allows drivers to choose from seven driving modes. All of the vehicles have a tow rating of 2,000 pounds.
Entry Level ES Models
The exterior of the Outlanders has LED headlights that automatically engage the high beams when sensors detect the need for additional illumination. Owners gain entrance thanks to the keyless entry. Starting the engine merely requires pushing the start button. Well-padded fabric upholstered seats provide all occupants with comfort and support. The infotainment system features an eight-inch touchscreen, AM/FM radio, and a six-speaker stereo. The unit also provides smartphone integration. Front-seat occupants get two USB ports to keep devices powered. Standard safety features include:
- Forward collision warnings and mitigation
- Blind-spot monitoring
- Automatic rear emergency braking
- Lane-departure warnings
- Rear parking sensors
- Rear-seat check reminder
- Driver alertness warnings
By adding the Convenience package, consumers gain the Mitsubishi Connect with Safeguard and Remote Services that provides occupants with emergency services. Individuals also have the convenience of controlling certain vehicle functions using a smartphone.
Outlander SE SUVs
The upgraded SE models have heated exterior side mirrors and LED fog lights. Enhanced interiors include a leather-wrapped steering wheel and heated front seats. Drivers adjust their seats electronically. The overall interior gets leatherette upholstery. Front-seat occupants gain a wireless smartphone charging pad, while rear-seat passengers gain a couple of USB ports. Added driver assist, and safety features include:
- Front parking sensors
- 360-degree view camera system
- Adaptive cruise control
- Lane-keeping assistance
Consumers can upgrade several features by adding the tech package. A panoramic sunroof provides all occupants an enhanced exterior view day or night. Open the roof window and enjoy a gentle breeze. The rearview mirror dims automatically to prevent visual interference from vehicles traveling too closely. A 12.3-inch instrument panel provides pertinent vehicle information in full color and may be customized as desired. All enjoy the surround sound quality of the Bose stereo with ten speakers.
Outlander Black Edition Vehicles
Along with having a stunning exterior appearance, the Black Edition models add an electronically powered panoramic sunroof.
Outlander SEL Models
The upper-level Outlander SEL adds power-folding side mirrors and roof rails. Interiors gain an ambient lighting package and automatic triple-zone climate control. Leather upholstered seating and synthetic leather-covered door panels create a luxurious touch to the cabin. Front-seat passengers get power-adjustable seats while rear occupants get heated seats. Drivers gain the convenience of an automatically dimming rearview mirror that helps prevent temporary blindness at night. They also have a 12.3-inch digital instrument display.
An optional Touring package upgrades the SEL vehicles even further by adding an electronically powered sunroof, a heated steering wheel, and an upgraded leather interior. Rear-seat occupants enjoy the comfort of window shades that deploy as needed. The infotainment system gains a Bose stereo with ten speakers. Drivers get the convenience of a heads-up display that provides the desired information on the windshield to keep their eyes on the road.
